I had a class first semester in which we talked about the idea of freedom of the press. We touched on the point that this only affected those who owned a press. We also read about this in 'We the Media' last week. While this citizen media movement has tried to change the fact that not everybody's voice can be heard, it simply can't be realistically expected that everyone's voice can be heard. It is still a fact that having money is a great advantage in getting your voice heard. I don't think that we can expect this to change. However strong the citizen media movement gets, being wealthy will always give you an advantage. We can't change this.
